Africa is not waiting for a finished grid. The work is already happening: plant rooms, rooftops, farms, workshops. SONAH exists so that work is not waiting on a wholesaler.
We are building a full-line electrical and solar distribution group. Head office in Cape Town. Distribution in Johannesburg. Active in 8 African countries. More than 10,000 trade partners across the continent. One counter. One portal. One person who picks up.
We keep our quality standard on the products and the people behind them. We expand the range as the job expands. We stay in the ring: product out, questions back, stock in. That is the Group we intend to be.
Our mission
To make our customers’ work easier, every day, by selecting and distributing electrical and solar products, and by standing behind them with people, logistics and tools.
SONAH is the partner for installation companies that need electrical and solar from one house. As a wholesaler built for the trade, we are positioned to play a key role in the continent’s energy work: cable and switchgear next to inverters and storage, under one account. We have clear structures in place that hold our quality standard on the line we carry and the suppliers we buy from. That is how a Group grows and still remains a Group.

Partnership
The installer is the customer. We treat customers and suppliers as true partners, not as tickets and vendor codes. We collaborate on the job: send the roof, we size it, spec it, check compatibility, and price it. Close to the trade, close to what the site actually needs, able to see a shift in the market before it is a problem on the truck. Partnership is how a distribution group earns the right to grow.
The long view
We believe in the work of electrifying this continent, and we focus the Group on our core: wholesale for the installation industry. Electrical and solar on the same counter. A portal for the trade. Training that is useful whether they buy from us or not. Product that can come back at end of life. The long view is our capacity to keep building the house, to take the call at 06:30, and to still be the same people when the job is bigger than it is today.
